m1 garand
The M1 Garand (or M1 Rifle) is a semi-automatic rifle that was the United States' service rifle during World War II and the Korean War.
The rifle is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and is named after its Canadian-American designer, John Garand. It was the first standard-issue autoloading rifle for the United States. By most accounts, the M1 rifle performed well. General George S. Patton called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised". The M1 replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the U.S.' service rifle in 1936, and was itself replaced by the selective-fire M14 rifle on March 26, 1958.Although the name Garand is frequently pronounced , the preferred pronunciation is (to rhyme with errand), according to experts and people who knew John Garand, the weapon's designer. Frequently referred to as the "Garand" or "M1 Garand" by civilians, its official designation when it was the issue rifle in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps was "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1" or just "M1", and Garand was not mentioned.

M1 garand in excellent condition. Very low round count. Have owned it for 10 plus years. Works wonderfully. I just don't shoot this caliber much anymore. Have 13 striper clips along with the scope pictured. $1500. Serial number is 114702.
For sale is this Garand trigger group. The photos tell the story better than I can. Price is $75 so that really doesn't leave any room for a trade. I can ship for $10 on the buyers dime. FTF or payment by USPS money order. No need to ask any technical questions because I most likely can't...

I purchased two hundred rounds of PPU 30-06 for the M1 Garand when I purchased my Garand rifle a few years ago. I shot one clip (8 rounds) through the gun and unfortunately haven't really had the time to enjoy it since, so I'm selling what I have remaining. I had no issues with what I shot of...
I purchased this M1 Garand from CMP via mail order back in 2018, thinking I would start a bit of a collection. Unfortunately I have too many hobbies as-is and I am looking to downsize right now. I've put 1 8-round clip through the gun and it functioned perfectly as expected.
I have a few...

I am unfamiliar with these scopes. I think I saw a competitive shooter sponsoring the brand somewhere, but can't find the info.
Anyway, is anyone familiar with these scopes? I am thinking of scoping my M1 Garand so I would need an extra long eye relief scout (?) scope. Does Vortex offer...
I've been diving into The M1 Garand. I have a service grade coming from CMP so I'm doing some reading. You have to join the Garand Collectors Association, one of the qualifiers for ordering from CMP. The GCA sends out a nice glossy paged magazine every month. This latest issue has a story of...
