distance
Distance is a numerical measurement of how far apart objects or points are. In physics or everyday usage, distance may refer to a physical length or an estimation based on other criteria (e.g. "two counties over"). The distance from a point A to a point B is sometimes denoted as
|
A
B
|
{\displaystyle |AB|}
. In most cases, "distance from A to B" is interchangeable with "distance from B to A". In mathematics, a distance function or metric is a generalization of the concept of physical distance; it is a way of describing what it means for elements of some space to be "close to", or "far away from" each other.
In psychology and social sciences, distance is a non-numerical measurement; Psychological distance is defined as "the different ways in which an object might be removed from" the self along dimensions such as "time, space, social distance, and hypotheticality.
For my Christmas vacation, I made a road trip to Colorado to visit my sister's family (I am very close to my sister since our father suddenly died when we were little kids and I was her big protective brother). On my way back, the first day I drove from Boulder to Sheridan, WY and I slept...
Quick overview: I have a couple of GMRS radios and I have my GMRS license from the FCC. I'm very new to this type of communication and still needing to learn the basics of GMRS. Like for many on here, it's mostly to be ready for SHTF stuff. I've also used them with a buddy when...
Looking to get back in the 1000 yard game and want to pick up a decent spotting scope. I've tried the budget route before and have always come back disappointed.
I won't say that money is no object, but I'm looking at doing this only one time. So, from those 1000 yard shooters who've 'been...

I like that it is short and no fluff. Finally a video with No introduction, 2 min of graphics and music, life history, "how I'm feeling today" or similar bullsheet.
But because it's short that does leave out a few things I suppose such as change of point of impact if changing ammo or if adding...
I go to the range quite a bit for handgun range time, and have a spot to go shoot shotgun. But can’t find anywhere to shoot at range with a rifle that doesn’t charge a arm and a leg to shoot out at over a 100 yards. Any suggestions?
I am entertaining the possibility of selling an "antique firearm" long distance w/ no ffl involved.
What's the best way to ship it? (pistol)
What's the best way to get paid?
Thanks
For sale is a Remington 700 sendero which was originally in 7mm rem mag and rechambered to 7mm STW. This rifle sits in a Choate ultimate sniper stock and comes with a bipod and rings (unknown brand). I personally have not shot this rifle and unknown on round count. This has to be the lightest...
I would like to rent a place this winter for a few days/half week possibly that I could just relax at and would have access to legal shooting within a reasonable walking distance, preferably off the back porch haha...if anyone knows of a place or has an idea of a place near Portland/Vancouver...
Hey everyone,
I built a 6.5 creedmoor chassis gun but am a complete novice when it comes to shooting past 100yds. I’ve done quite a bit of research but I’m finding myself frustrated before even getting to the range with trying to level my optic using different methods (plumb bob, framing...
Friends,
I'm currently drooling over the ruger precision, the savage Elite and possible the Christensen MPR. I am looking to go 300 win mag. my goal is to just do some target shooting, hopefully getting to distance some day. I'm brand new to this. What do you think of these rifles and is...
Okay so I got a 300 PRC Christensen Mesa a while back. I'm just getting around to working a load up for it before elk hunting and while trying to come up with a seating depth, I made an odd discovery. The lands in my rifle are at 2.910 based on my hornady gauge. I measured this literally 10...
The instructions are below. Useful if you wanted to mentally do some "what if" defensive scenarios and estimate range.
