Matching numbers on barrel, action, and bolt. Shoots fine and will include a box of once fired Norma brass.
The safety is missing from the bolt.A later model safety lever is attached and will lock the bolt when decocked but has not been properly fit and will not engage when the bolt is cocked.
Sporterized, but done right. Great condition and well cared for. Took an Elk @ approx. 500 yards this season with this rifle and now I’m done with hunting.
Looking to trade for AR stuff, “tactical” rifle optics, uppers, lowers, and/or Ammo.

Will trade for 9mm, .223 and 5.56 and any combination of.
Also interested in a “higher end” red dot like an Eotech or Aimpoint.

This Model 1891 rifle was made in 1899 in Berlin and was tastefully converted into a hunting rifle before I owned it. It has a nice balanced look to it which attracted me. Barrel length was reduced from 29.5 to 23.5 inches and appears professionally done. The metal shows some wear but is mostly...
I have an 1891 Mauser in great condition, almost looks like it was made yesterday, all matching numbers. It does have the shaving of the crest and what not but that is the norm. My delema is that it is so long and heavy. I tend to be more of a carbine type of guy. I have seen some carbines on...
