Pros
Lowest Transfer cost, Phone Transfer vs computer wait list
Gun deals are great but not the wait. My last transfer at BiMart took about two weeks.
What if you can get a great deal and no wait? Order online and ship to A Cut Above Pawn. My new pistol arrived today, I called and confirmed they had it. Drove there, filled out the 4473, paid the $20 + $10, and they called the OSP. What I wasn't expecting was they stayed on the line and got me my pistol in about 20 min. I know several gun stores are calling and holding which is great service but I don't know anyone else with a lower price for a FFL transfer.
Vast array of good stock. Personable staff. Owner seems like a good guy.
Cons
N/a. It's a good shop.
I traded my Ruger .22 in here for a Sig .22.
Staff will give you some misinformation like the P322 is MSRP of $500, when it's really $400. Just standing my ground, I had him double check the actual price, and was in/out of there getting what I needed, at the correct price, and with a better understanding btwn the staff of a well stocked gun shop and myself. I value that understanding.
I had previously bought pistols from Cabelas and Sportsmans Warehouse. I plan to keep going to Keith's, instead.
Heck you can tell that some of the staff there are lifers so you would benefit from the rapport, instead of the high turnover rate at the big box stores.
Support local gun shops. Keiths is a great place.
People get used to the idea of convenience. They forget that commerce is comprised of people exchanging money for goods, and probably are so used to clicking around on Amazon, etc with zero human element, that they get miffed when they actually have to assert themselves.Think about it though, do they actually treat you the way you like at the big box shops? Probably not so shop @ keiths and introduce yourself. Let yourself be known. It is a shop where people matter.
There's a woman that's usually manning the display cases. She's always rude (most of the staff are there) and lies. She tried to sell me a revolver, agreed to buy it, thought she was gonna send someone down to get one but instead reaches into the gun case. I say wait, that's not new, that's a display model. She replies "it's new". I said no, it's not, it has fingernail scratches all over the rubber grip. It's not a new revolver, how much of a discount for the display model? She says "3%". You can't even do 5%? Her: "No. 3%.".
All the staff there treats the customers like they're inmates or on parole. They act like a bunch of ex-cops. Worst gun shop this side of the Mississippi. I walked out and haven't returned since 2013.
Always very helpful to help service your questions and needs
So many options to choose from.
Fast process checking out and getting approved!
Cons
Picks up at time like every other retail store. Plan your visit.
Keith was very helpful with taking in my Trade-in's and closing out on 3 very nice guns. You have to appreciate good customer service! Feels like family coming in and talking to everyone.
Often busy with unsafe shooters magdumping trash with no sights
Small hike from parking to shooting area
Good pit for test firing and close range. 90% of shooters are respectful and safe. The last 10% are straight up dangerous. V shaped firing lines, unleashed pitbulls, poor muzzle control. Recommended when not shooting on the weekends. I was part of a cleanup crew overseen by DNR where we cleaned up 40+ black trash bags worth of crap and brass. If you check Google Maps/GIS and are willing to hike a little further you can find places that are less popular. Most people go to the closest pit to parking but there are at least 3 in the area. Highly recommend a cart/wagon to carry gear. Watch out during deer season for hunters.
Always friendly and knowlegable people at Gun counter.
Was looking for a pistol for the wife. They showed me several and explained pros and cons on each one.
Also my dog always gets a treat at the gun counter and at check out register
I was in and out of the shop in 30 mins for an NFA engraving and even got to watch/guide the process to ensure no mistakes were made. Don does great work with the laser engraver per regulations. An appointment is helpful.
Great inventory for firearms and ammo. Fair prices and good service.
Cons
Can be cramped. Too popular for their own good.
Very good inventory at HighLine. Always able to find what's hot on the market and the popular calibers/models. Also consistently have more niche calibers and guns. Always fun to window shop and very convenient if you happen to be into those niche calibers (shoutout .458 SOCOM).
I can't believe what I hadn't written a review before now. Better late than never.
Great guy to meet and do business with. Very fair prices and plentiful reloading components items in stock.
Fantastic Gun shop with terrific and honest people

Pros
Excellent and friendly prompt service! Very competitive pricing. Really enjoyed my experiencethere!
great low pricing on New old stock Ammo
I met up with a Gentleman from NW Firearms to buy a Glock 44 from him. We met at Tick Licker Firearms in Corvallis. I was quite pleased at the prompt friendly and HONEST service I experienced there. I live up in Forest Grove, but I will happily make the trip to Corvallis again to buy from these great folks. Absolutely zero to complain about. I am quite pleased with the entire experience. Also, It's important to note that their prices are fantastic! Very competitive pricing, and the Customer service is second to none! Keep up the great work Tick licker!! I can't wait to see y'all friendly faces again soon!
This is what a small, local shop should be. Private transfers done twice here now (both times I'm the seller). First time the buyer had a delay in BGC, AFS gave me an intake receipt which is a convenience that offers peace of mind that it will get handled. Both times, the process went smoothly and the guys here are friendly. Easy to get to. Parking is a bit limited but not a huge deal. Please note they are recently in a new location in the downtown part of Oregon City. It seems some people are still going to their old location about 10 minutes away.
