My admiration and gratitude goes out to all those liberal groups working to make Chicagostan a socialist paradise. They're well on the way to a most fabulous third world existence.

Neither one of the "dogs" in the pictures posted look like coyotes to me mange or not.

Note this comment not directed at the OP , himself.... But at the folks at the link in the OP , for posting a questionable picture.

Picture 2 is: "...A street dog in Bali, Indonesia, suffers from sarcoptic mange..."

So yeah I could see how that may be confused with a coyote in Chicago suburbs.

Sorry, I simply did a Google image search of "sarcoptic mange", which is the disease that these dogs near Chicago are suffering from, to find more examples of what the disease does to dogs. I did not bother to go to the website hosting the pic. I just grabbed it from Google, to give anothe pic of the effects of sarcoptic mange.

If you read the news story, you will see that authorities are worried about the local dog population becoming infected by these Coyotes. I should have put a separate title on the second pic, explaining that it was merely an example of what sarcoptic mange does to dogs.

You must not be familiar at all with what a Coyote looks like, as the first pic is most definitely that of a Coyote. There is no way on earth that one could argue that it could be a dog. The Face and snout are far too narrow.

Here is a real good website that explains in great detail how you tell the physical differences between a Coyote and Dog:

Hiking with Chuck - Are You Sure it was a Coyote? How to Tell a Coyote from a Dog.

And here is a photo from the website of Wildlife Care in Ventura, CA of a Coyote that they treated with sarcoptic manage. It looks exactly like the animal in the first picture.

And I also very much doubt that FoxNews would not have used a legitimate photo. Calling them into question, is in itself extremely questionable.
