Your preferred 300aac reload recipe

Depending on your use I can see a lot of different load options for this caliber.
Looking for some summary data from folks that may have tried a few different bullet weights & powders to find a good load that's working well for them.
Supersonic & subsonic both -

What led up to your preferred load? Good accuracy at long range? Highest energy? Reliable cycling of action with short barrel? Consistent performance across the chrono? Available components?

accurate 1680 powder is what i use exclusively for both supers and subs. that may change in the upcoming years due to all the hysteria lately.

220's over IMR 4227, loaded to mag length makes a nice sub.
150's over IMR 4227, goes bang every time.

I'm drinking the H110 kool aid with 17.5gr under all 125gr pills. Shoots 1,930's out of a 10" barrel. Just finishing a 16" upper which should get me into the 2,000 fps range on paper.

Loads I currently have worked up are very similar to some listed here. I didn't have data on the 150g projectiles so that's something to look forward to building up.

I run speer 110grn jhp under h110. Strictly range toy, 8.5 barrel. With a redot At 50 yds will turn a beer can into shredded aluminum. Was getting them for 8 or 9 cents each, way under what the online outfits were charging, until the craziness started. They feed great in one of my pistols, the other is a jamamatic with them. Hopefully I can get some cast and powder coated before my speer stockpile runs out. I like cheap, cause the 300b is fun to shoot, start shooting and next thing you know you look down and there's a huge pile of brass at your feet.

110 grain Vmax with 18.9gr H110. Supersonic Getting me about 1900 fps out of 8" barrel.

220 grain Nosler Custom Competition HPBT with 11.4 grains 1680 powder Subsonic around 1020 fps same 8" barrel.

200 grain Maker Rex all copper expanding subsonic also 11.4 grains 1680 about 1050 fps same 8" barrel.. Not for plinking.....

110 sierra and v max have a
Term Threshold = 1,600fps so a within 100 yard for terminal ballistics max expansion, past that its all about shot placement
110 nosler needs Term Threshold = 1,800fps so less then 100 yards for max expansion










Hornady 110 V-MAX
BC = .290
mV = 2,200fps
Term Threshold = 1,600fps
MAX = 230yds



Nosler 110 Varmageddon
BC = .293
mV = 2,100fps
Term Threshold = 1,800fps
MAX = 125yds


Sierra 110 HP
BC = .204
mV = 2,100fps
Term Threshold = 1,600fps
MAX = 150yds


now if you can get these for a decent price
