So here's a hypothetical: Someone invites you into a fully stocked gun store, new and used weapons of every brand cover the walls. He says, "Pick out any gun you want under $2000. It's yours to keep." Which gun do you choose, and if you're feeling particularly verbose, why?

I only get to pick one? What about multiple guns that total up to $2000?

Only one pick. And no ammo (because I know that's going to be the next question : )

I'd say a Galil in either .223 or .308 (I already have one in .308 and LOVE it)

Either an Armalite AR-10 SASS or a Steyr Scout. I would have to fondle both until one spoke to me. LOL

I'd love to have a FN FAL or and L1A1 in .308. $2k is a lot, though, it'd take some deliberation.

FN FS2000 - overall length of an SBR, with no tax stamp... I may have to kick in a few bucks because I am over the $2000, but pretty close.
