Anyone have experience with QuikClot?(sp) I've got a couple but havent had the opportunity to get shot yet, so I don't know how well it works.

My SIL used to rep the Syvek products and gave me some samples, but they don't appear to be for major bleeding.

I keep two large QuikClot sponges but have not had any big cuts or wounds to put them on. They expire so be sure you get more. I am not sure if they work if you go past the expiration date.

No wonder why my drill sargent always looked at me and shaked his head.

We look at everyone like that.... because you are ALL equally worthless. o_O

HemCon, a Tigard Oregon company Is, or was, (I haven't kept up) a standard issued product for the military.

Isn't that the system where you insert a tampon looking "syringe" into the wound then pump in the tiny expanding sponge-tablet looking things?

I use 'em for nunchucks. "Smecka!"

That's pronounced, "smegma".... ya filthy animal! o_O

:D

BUT, But, but.....my GF doesn't use a tampon. On the other hand, her "pad" could be used for direct compression.

Aloha, Mark
