Are we in some sort of time warp? How is that "report" dated January 21st already?

It's not the 21st at the border right now (it's 1810 PST right now, or 8:10 PM in Texas) . Maybe across the pond in London, but not Texas... o_O

It's interesting that for the last few days local mainstream media is showing non-stop chop-shop busts, standoffs w baddies, captures here, captures there.. all while Portland remains a sanctuary city.
right, you fing traitors

Interesting indeed! I did start watching FOX News. Still NOT the local affiliate though. I don't watch any other local stuff.

Downtown Portland is a ghost town. The streets are deserted. I had to drop off someone for a medial appt at OSHU and decided to drive around to kill time before I had to pick them up. I used to work downtown.
At first I thought things were pretty good. Not many homeless walking or sitting on the sidewalks and I only saw a few tents. The parks were empty. As I left the main business district and got down to Burnside, I saw more, but not as many as I expected.
Then I realized that downtown was deserted, it was eerie, kinda spooky.
It was lunch time and the sidewalks were empty. There was hardly any traffic on the streets. The few restaurants that I could see inside of were empty at lunch time. I saw many small storefronts that were boarded up closed.
It is apparent that if the downtown office workers have not returned by now, they are not going to.
The new mayor ordered all govt employees back to the office but the Union balked and he backed down.
I am afraid that Portland is done for. RIP.

We use downtown potland for a short-cut. We live a couple/three miles directly South of PDX. When we're coming from your side of town, or from the South we use down town as a shortcut. Avoids the mess of the Marquam bridge/I-84. So we got that going for us.
