The Libs really don't care, they've not been concerned about the "working class" for 50 years. In case anyone's skeptical that the lack of tax-competitiveness has negative ramifications, out of the 50 largest metro-areas in the US, Portland ranks dead last for job growth… reporting negative growth (with a net loss of between 6000-14000 jobs, depending on which source you believe, between April 2023 and April 2024).
The Portland Clinic actually treated patients at one of their locations!?!?! As a former patient I am shocked to hear that. The Portland Clinic, originally founded a little over a century ago, is closing down its downtown location, citing safety/crime concerns.

Jobs have consequences. The Libs really don't care, they've not been concerned about the "working class" for 50 years.
Their mind-set is in "Portlandia", where everybody is "fashionable" and nobody "works",
Jobs? they have "careers", to them "jobs" are for poor people.
I won't hold my breath. The new mayor and Multco DA still will have to answer to the "Woke" mobs. Pretty clear nothing has changed with them. No common sense required.Multnomah County has a new DA and Portland has a new Mayor. Maybe that will be the catalyst that gives Portland a chance to improve. Maybe. Time will tell, but I do hope Portland's voters, blind and ignorant for so many years, have finally realized that who they elect makes a difference and they're done with electing morons hell bent on destroying what used to be the most beautiful city in America.
As more "productive" leave the tax money leaves with them. Not just businesses, but people who they employ. That is a LOT of tax the follows every employer who walks. What often takes their place are the ones with hand out wanting things given to them. So let the people feel more pain. Its the only thing that will motivate many of those who stay to vote better.Multnomah County has a new DA and Portland has a new Mayor. Portland’s Public Market is mostly unoccupied. The owner blames lack of foot traffic
The shared two-story restaurant space on Monument Square has seen many eateries move out or fail to renew their leases.www.pressherald.com

Skimmed through the article just to try to see if he was willing to tell the truth about why. Looks like he carefully pretended he does not know why no one comes there and no one want to rent there. Let them just keep failing as they ask for more![]()
