Awhile back, I purchased a used Sig via consignment and getting familiar with the process of cleaning the gun I found yellow residue. Luckly it was easy to clean off say for only the spring, not wanting to disassemble the spring I tried my hand at it with a nylon toothbrush and letting it "soak" in CLP for a half minute and then trying the brush again. In all honesty it doesn't interfere with the operation of the handgun and if anything, it should be easy to replace. It's just annoying, that's all.

TL;DR: I got a used pistol, and it has yellow stuff on the spring in hard-to-reach places, tried to clean it off thoroughly but can't get the rest. how would I clean it off?

Edit to add: Just leave it on. It won't harm the pistol.
