<i>(William) "Clinton believes that since President Obama has carefully avoided angering the gun lobby that Republican gains in the 2010 midterm elections will be minimal."</i>
Ladies and gentlemen, bho and this corrupt administration ARE coming after all your firearms and you better start doing something about it NOW! We need to kick every congressional represenative out who does not have the interest of the people, our interest, in mind. If they voted yes for this health care bill, vote them out! If they voted yes on cap & trade, vote them out! If they vote on gun control, vote them out! If they vote for allowing the millions of illegal aliens have free U.S. Citizenship, vote them out! If they do not meet the standard by which you conduct your daily life, vote them OUT!!! If WE THE PEOPLE, can turn over bho's apple cart and get OUR newly elected congressional represenatives to start listening to US, than maybe, just maybe we can get our country back. But it is going to have to be a concentrated effort on behalf of all of us.

The damage has been done.

The only thing left to do is write a new Declaration of independence, and steal land from the federal government.

I wonder how much it would take to get politicians in something like Montana to turn their nose to the federal government. Would need more jobs, though. Convince Remington to put their Ammo factories there, for instance. Farming, etc. Free citizenship to all real Americans.

Sounds good to my radical ears.

In my opinion we need to go to Alaska and suceed from the union. Plenty of land, food supply, trees and of course oil to tap and sell for future needs.

Agreed, it's only a matter of time before this country gets to big for our freedoms. With the way our society is heading were giving the gov't free reign to control us for "our best interests".
Just like the financial collapse the societal collapse is not far behide. This is the way all civializations of the past have worked, the build up, the fall, the build up, the fall. And so on.
It's only going to depend on how much were willing to put up with before we say NO!

The rich are still getting rich and the so is the gov't while were losing jobs, and going to be paying more for those who can't (won't) pay for themselves.
In my opinion we need to start attacking the rich, the large corporations, and the three houses.
That's where the corrupt hide. The tyrants always hide out in the open.

Let's not forget the last time states tried to legally secede from the "Union"..

:s0131:Oh wait..I forgot..according to the Libtards re-writing our history..The Civil War was all about slavery.....

There are many decent Constitution loving patriots out there who are rich, who worked there buts off to become so. That comment was stupid. Not all rich people are bad guys.

I have "Rich" family who worked, saved and invested in the right stock at the right time.
I agree that not all rich are bad and shouldn't be labeled as such. It makes us sound like a Marxist Mob. But I do know what you're saying.

I hear that Texas wrote in the union treaty they signed stating that if at any time they found the other stated were going in a direction that would not benefit them, they would and could secede. Is something like that true?! Forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject, I just thought it was interesting.

Maybe he works for the government...

I am self employed, but by no means rich. There is definatly a mentality that goes along with most employee,s not all but most. You think that if a company makes x ammount of dollars your "entitled" to so much of it. You never take into account how many y dollars (cost)it took to generate x income and in the end proffit or loss z. You only think I sould be getting payed this. If your unhappy with your job or employer because they are evil capitolist that makes money quit and go get your unemployment check.

Oh by the way!

CAPITOLIZIM IS BOSS!!!!!!!!!!

Watch out....if they DO come after guns after the 2010 elections....the matches will be lit to fire up the kiln of civil war. I am licking my chops. My only concern is, i live in a socialist state, which i am sure would not be supportive of other states which might break away. If there was a breakaway republic, I would want to emigrate there. I am wondering if they would shutter their borders to refugees from non-rebel states.

"The tides come in... The tide goes out..."

"The pendulum swings out.... The pendulum swings in..."

In 2010 and then again at the next presidential election things will once again swing to the right. And, this time I bet the Republicans will not be crazy spenders like they were the last 8 years.
True conservatism, the popularity of a limited government is on the rise.
Mark my words.
Now all we have to do is smarten up the electorate so they don't go voting with their emotions and vote in another Obama. :s0114::s0114:

I hope to God you are right. Im not so sure.

My first (voted in) presidential election was Carter. :D

The following could be said about Obama, his campaign, and the fawning that the main stream media did over him. (and still does to this day)

The media discovered and promoted Carter, (insert "Obama") as Lawrence Shoup noted in his 1980 book The Carter Presidency and Beyond:
What Carter (insert "Obama") had that his opponents did not was the acceptance and support of elite sectors of the mass communications media. It was their favorable coverage of Carter (insert "Obama") and his campaign that gave him an edge, propelling him rocket-like to the top of the opinion polls. This helped Carter (insert "Obama") win key primary election victories, enabling him to rise from an obscure public figure to President-elect in the short space of 9 months.

Pretty crazy, eh!?!:s0114:

History does repeat itself!

Hopefully history does repeat itself because after Carter had nearly ruined our country with huge government and a ruined economy, Ronald Reagan was elected president and turned the mess around! We could use another Ronald Reagan now! Hopefully we will have enough people to vote the corrupt S.O.B's out of office.

Reagan ran the deficit way up, and with it a huge growth in gov, his only service to small government was through his mouth. No president in my lifetime actually did anything but talk to promote smaller governement, and I'm pretty old.

As far as corruption in gov goes that is as American as our history.

In the last admin Republican eithics stopped just short of selling votes on ebay. I know we are big on rights and amendments here and while they left the 2nd in tact they seem to have openly violated 1, 4, 5, 8, and 10. High points like illegal investigations and special rendition come to mind, along with having evidence made to order by government agencies so they could invade Iraq.

My idea for lowering corruption in government: The liberty abatement tax, that any contribution to any political offical be taxed at 50 times the amount of the contribution, with the proceeds going to lowering deficits, or the tax rate if there are no deficits. Since these contribution garner influence reducting the representation of citizens promised by the Constitution, it is only fitting that citizens receive some compensation for this loss.

well, lets see what the god Regan be thy name actually did for us
signed the largest illegal alien ammesty bill ever
doe the brady bill ring a bell?
deregulated everything....so now big business is run like a sport with no rules..

not saying that I liked Carter.....or Bush#1....or Clinton.....or Bush#2...or Obama....sheesh when will we get a guy that I would actually vote for??

Now that's just about the funniest thing I've read in years.

In keeping it short, the abatements would be paid to the level of government where the contribution occured. So, agreed this would be a silly provision for the feds, it isn't for many non deficit level of gov, like the state of Oregon, or most of our cities.
