Cool......way back when my grandpa took me to see a couple of the Confederate airforces planes when they came to the Troutdale airport.

Living with in 2 miles of the "Bomber" restaurant, I always get a little sad seeing the plane sitting there minus the nose, rotting away...I love to see the restored planes out and about.....I think it was last year that a flight of 3 B-17s buzzed my house. Cool stuff.
 
I lve those old planes and love eating at the " Bomber " :s0155: . It's like 2 miles from my house :D . Hey Boo , we need to go have lunch sometime .

We owe alot to our WW2 vets . I have a grandpa thats still kickin around and he was on a hospital ship in the Pacific in WW2 .

The Bomber Resteraunt is trying to restore that B17 and they have the nose about done and are working on other parts but they need donations ;).

I haven't stopped by in a while, is the nose on display yet, or is it still off site?

Hope they do restore it...my brother and I had a good time playing in it when my dad got gas. Art Lacey had a great idea, back when the hi-way was called Super 99' long before the I-205 was built.
 
This just flew over about a half hour ago...into Hillsboro...what a thing of beauty...I flew in one with the Collings Foundation out of Astoria two years ago.
