This M24 SWS sniper rifle was manufactured by Remington Arms Company and leased by Remington to the U.S. Army for training. This is a standard commercial configuration Remington Model 700/M24 SWS sniper rifle with 24 inch stainless steel barrel. HS composite stock with adjustable buttplate, Leupold Mark 4, 10X40MM, telescopic sight and Harris folding, adjustable bipod. The barrel and receiver are fitted with mounts for the auxiliary micrometer rear sight and globe front sight issued with the rifle. The rifle includes a Hardigg fiberglass deployment case that contains: 1) scope and case; 2) unissued russet leather M1907 sling; 4) Operators' Manual; 5) Otis cleaning kit; 6) Pelican 1120 Case that contains the cleaning supplies, wrenches and spare parts issued with every M24 SWS deployment kit. "REMINGTON/MODEL 700 M24" is stamped on the left side of the receiver. The right side of the barrel has the standard Remington proofmarks, and the left side is stamped "AH". The 10X Leupold scope has the standard mildot aperture, is fitted with Butler Creek lens covers, and has been painted a matte black to match the rifle. With cloth soft case.

These were issued to the US Army and turned in to Remington, when the military upgraded to the XM2010. Remington took the old stocks and kits back, installed new receivers and barrels. These were subsequently offered to MIL/LEO then civilian market.
