We probably didn't call them Swedish Safety Axes, so not to offend the Swedes. Nothing scarier than an angry Swede.

Another couple of "must have" tools are the peavey the pickaroon. Both are fun to say with a Swedish accent too.

I heard tell that some of those Pysht folks bend down the tops of the trees to go through the door of the wood stove. The tree grows fast enough it will feed a fire all through the winter, without the labor of splitting and stacking.
