Anyone know of someone in the PDX/Vancouver area that carries them? Anyone have one they want to part with? I'm getting interested in playing with one the more I read about them.

Just looking at the 1911A1 .gov model. If it runs well I'll keep it, otherwise, it'll end up being a project gun built off the frame, I'm not out too much either way.

If you're looking at a possible build up might I suggest a Springfield Gi/Milspec. The RIA's are very good guns, but if I was looking into some time/$$ into a possible project the SA has a great rep for a base gun and shooter.

Keep an eye on the classifieds here they both turn up form time to time, there's a few good deals on Springers there now actually.
