Just buy an 11.5" barrel and a pistol buffer tube and slap it on any lower and uppers you want so long as it is the former were not a complete rifle when purchased from a ffl. Also a certain ammunition store sells such uppers in the area.

Rock River PDS Pistol $1200.00 LNIB. Includes Troy Low Profile sights Included. (1) 30-round mag. This is about $300.00 less than what you would pay at Keith's. The PDS is a piston drive system, none of the problems that you have with DI systems. I was going to SBR it, but I have never gotten around to it. RRA claims 1 moa at 100yds with an 8" barrel.
