SUNNYSIDE, Wash. A man was found shot to death in a car about midnight, Sunnyside police said this morning.
The mans body was found in a bullet-ridden maroon Mitsubishi Eclipse parked on the side of the road in the 1200 block of South 14th Street, according to a news release issued by Sunnyside police.
Police officers responding to the scene after reports of gunfire later determined that more than 20 rounds had been fired. The firearms used in the killing are believed to be a large caliber handgun and an assault rifle, police said.
The man was believed to be about 20, police said. Release of his identification is awaiting a coroners report and notification of relatives.
