I feel that I'm fairly prepared. As is a good portion of my family. I live just about in Troutdale so I feel I'd have enough time if it starts getting crazy to pick up a couple family members then head to the Hermiston area where we've got a family ranch. Plenty of supplies there along with live food sources. And for people that possibly end up in the middle of nowhere trying to cause trouble everyone in my family is a pretty darn good shot and in life or death scenario wouldn't have an issue putting a threat down far before it got close enough to harm anyone. My Natural disaster/civil unrest/zombiepocalypse fall out plans are all basically the same haha.

Fifty-plus years of this has produced a very large, very ignorant, very apathetic population.

Some seem to think they are more enlightened and deserving than others. I look upon it as the traditional 'us vs. them' scenario. Why humans have learned to be such marvelous gradet makers in the past 50,000 years, yet have failed to learn to live harmoniosly in that same time period simply amazes me.

However we are a different country and the behavior of things is going to be different here.

So I suspect that marshal law will be the answer to any significant civil unrest. Forms of it has happened already in America and most are not aware of that.


So for me the real issue isn't the uprisings ... it is the response it could elicit.

Isolation is always the best protection but, as a man that lived throught the 1st Watts Riots I can forsee situatons becoming very bloody, especialy at night. WATTS happened 40 years ago the churches still held sway with the majority of the black community. Now the church has been replaced by Marxism, drugs, mob mentality There ar criminal gangs and revolutionary groups that are heavily armed and have detailed plans that use GPS and GHoogle Earth cross referanced with Census data and zip code; targets for crime and infrastructure to destroy. The goal is maximum chaos in as many locations as possible nation wide. A logical starting point would be active shooter attacks at say 9 schools in differant parts of the Portland metro area, at the same time. followed by attacks on infrastructure and wealthy subburbs. Then perhaps a terrorist attack on PDX and an attack on City Hall all in 24 hours

What is interesting is the cause of the unrest. Brittian is a socialist country that pays people to stay home and be lazy. For them to rise up against their paymaster makes you wonder what the real agenda is. Who is stirring up these losers?

Do we have the same kind of losers in the USA? You bet we do. However they are in the big cities where they can live and leech off the work of others. You never see this scum riot in small town America, there isn't enough of em yet.

That is an excelent point however there are plenty of ruralites that are on the dole and abusing drugs, for a living. Many of the Retirees that move out to the sticks are flaming Libtards, I've run into a few here. My local preacher is a Fabian Socialist! Some of the ranchers and farmers out here make more money off the tax payer than they do raising food.
All these PPL have one thing in common, they believe that what I have should be thiers!

In two months 40,000 GI's and 15,000 Civilian Contractors return from Iraq

Yep, I saw that.

They are wanting to cut the pay of federal Employee's and military personnel, and they cannot do that while they are fighting a war. Yep even just federal employee's are fighting or are put in harms way daily and targets of opportunity.

Anyways there are lots more cuts coming and it is working people not the illegal aliens or those who migrated here are drawing off our system who never into it. Or were born here and who have never into the system, who just soaking up hte sunshine and welfare checks like their parents did.

Greece here come, BTW did anyone notice we are about to be down graded again on our credit rating, can't say as i blame them, I wouldn't want to loan us money either.

If that is what your town is like then maybe you moved into the wrong town. Or should move out of that town. Not all of small town America is what you describe.
