One downside to the Willamette Valley is that there are few to no rifle ranges open to casual public target shooting and I'd REALLY like to celebrate Vererans' Day with a couple of hours at the range with my M1 Garand.

This is a personal "tradition" I've started for Memorial Day and this year am feeling I'd like to expand to Veterans' Day. I like to let the Garand focus my attention on those who carried such arms for us.

Good excuse to save up for club membership dues, I guess.

Eating at restaurants for free? Hmm. I could make the rounds with a "doggy bag"? Have a list?

Where would I have to live to have enough room to shoot and a mountain for a backstop. And neighbors that would be tolerant--or maybe join me?
