I tried a Dead Air Nomad 30 on my Sig Rattler and got a face full of blowback . Then I read that perhaps the Rattler isn't the best candidate for a suppressor.
Recently, I read about this OSS model and it's unique helical venting

From Silencer Shop:
Product Description
The strong "utility player" silencer, the HX-QD 762's features were heavily influenced by the U.S. Army CSASS requirements. This silencer will fill the widest range of calibers and host rifles of any of the OSS silencers. As with all of the OSS Helix style silencers, the patented Flow-Through technology of this silencer redirects the expanding gasses in a helical pattern allowing the gas to expand and cool as they move through the silencer body. This unique design also means that the expanding gas generate torque on the silencer and snugging it onto the mount. As the gas moves through the 17-4 stainless and Grade 5 titanium coils, the resulting effect on the silencer tube is a remarkably cooler and extremely durable suppressor.
Speaking of durability, the HX-QD's are built with a full auto rating and easily pass the USSOCOM reliability stress test – said differently, these cans are built for abuse. The proven Flow-Through tech is also focused on the need to not increase back pressure (or blowback) like a traditional baffle stack might. These silencers are tested to impact bolt cycle speed less than 5% over a baseline, therefore muzzle rise and recoil are more easily managed as well as not effecting weapon malfunctions.

So...
Does anyone have experience using this suppressor on a Rattler? Or, at least any experience with this model in general?

Thanks

I dont know why you'd get a face full of blowback out of the Rattler? I think the Rattler is a great suppressor host. I run mine with a SIG 762 Ti and a Silencerco Specwar and don't get anything like that. I get quite a bit less blowback than I do with a standard configuration 300 BO 7" SBR . Is your problem with subs or full powered 300BO?

Turn the gas down a notch on your rattler when running a can.
I have shot the OSS and while it does eliminate a lot of the blow back, it is not nearly as quiet as most other cans.

The specwar is simply amazing. I have one and love it.

I run a 762-SDN-6 can on mine. No problems cycling, no face full of blowback, and POI shift is un-noticeable.

SIG seems gifted at providing an inconsistent experience with their platforms. I'd say it's part of their charm, but it just really torques me.
