It appears the male suspect got shot twice - once in the chest and once in the groin. He is now in critical condition. The female is on the run.

Update. The male burglar is still in the hospital after being shot, and his female accomplice was apparently apprehended by the police. This article includes a link to the 911 call made by the burglar after he'd been shot.

hopefully that will teach them a lesson, I got broken into about 5 years ago and im still pissed about it because none of my possessions were ever found and my insurance wouldn't cover it because I lived in the house that I rented it to. I should have purchased renters insurance on top of my house insurance. stupid me...
