    Witness P Carry, polymer frame. I have a barrel/slide in 9mm in two versions: One in compact; the other in the longer standard version. I'd like to trade one or the other for a .45 slide. I've got 4 17 rd mags with the long slide, and 2 13 rd mags with the short slide.

    If you've got a Witness in steel frame, it probably won't work. I checked it out with a member here. We didn't shoot 'em, but they don't quite align perfectly.

    If you've got the polymer in .45 and you'd like to switch to 9, then we're a match. I may be willing to add to the pot depending on what you've got to offer. I'd prefer to trade the long slide + 4 mags and keep the short slide + 2 mags. I could be flexible, though.

    I could be open to other trades, I suppose. I'm generally pretty happy with my setup, but I've got the itch for a new toy.

    Shootin 9 mm is a heck of a lot cheaper than .45.

    Small target audience, but I'll keep casting for awhile.

    Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
    over many a northwest firearms ad, of these many handguns galore.
    As I pondered, nearly napping, there came to me a thought as tapping,
    gently rapping, tapping at my frontal core.
    'Tis some late night inspiration, a thought conceived for elevation,
    to hope for some appreciation, and bump this ad at least once more ...

    Ah, distinctly I remember starting this ad in bleak December,
    As each separate dying ember, struggled late to stay alive.
    Eagerly this ad I made, as the embers continued to fade,
    Hoping thus to make a trade, trading for a forty-five
    Hopefully this ad won't dive, but rather stir things like a hive,
    And get the trade for which I strive; 9mm for a forty-five.

    And the slight response is sad, but each time I bump this ad
    Thrills me - fills me with fantastic hopefulness I've felt before
    So that now to slow the beating of my heart I stand repeating
    Once again I am entreating forum members, but not to bore
    Some early hour bump entreating consideration for trade once more
    This it is, and nothing more.

    Presently my urge grows stronger; hesitating here no longer,
    "Sir," say I, "or Madam, truly your caliber I implore;
    9 mm, it is cheaper, acp costs so much steeper,
    what I offer is a keeper, with high cap mags it's all the more.
    To that end I entreat you, shoot hollow point or solid core."
    Silence still, and nothing more.

    Deep into that darkness peering, long I wait here wondering, fearing
    Doubting, dreaming of trades no member ever dared to dream before;
    But the silence is still unbroken, and the forum gives no token,
    No encouragement here is spoken, a silence still which I deplore
    Hope I whisper, and its echo murmurs to me, "Try once more!"
    Merely this and nothing more

    Back into the forum turning, all my soul within me burning,
    Soon again I feel desire somewhat stronger than before.
    'Surely,' say I, 'surely there are messages in my email notice;
    Let me see then, who has wrote us, and this mystery explore -
    Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
    'Tis just spam and nothing more!"
