Well the 1st home game of the season is in the books, the Hawks came out and showed that even with 8 of our guys gone through most of the pre-season we have a young, strong, and fast team. They wrapped up the evening with a 7-2 victory over the Vancouver Giants, basically the same team that knocked us out of the play-offs last year in the 2nd round.

So who else out there is a Hawkey fan.

Go Hawks Go!!!

Former season ticket holder here, been a fan since they arrived in 1976 when I was just a kid.

Been through the good times (1983 and 1998), bad times (1991 and recently), and everything else in between.

Glad to see them doing well again, and as a note they started the season ranked #1 in the WHL, and #3 overall in the CHL.

Glad to see others here like Hockey.

Baja you out to come out and check out this team of young men they remind me of shades of both Memorial Cup teams.. The gritty play of Neeley and Deadmarsh and the phenominal skill of Hossa and the rest of the 98's.. It's truly fun to watch again.

Boy they came out and put a whoopin on Lethbridge last night.. Was a great thing to see as the team starts gelling into a more cohesive unit now that all but 2 of are guys are finally back form camps.. This is going to be a great year.

We just got home from the game. Everett controlled the first period, but then the Hawks took over. Portland's third goal, by Johansen, went through the net and wasn't called until a stoppage and review about two minutes later. A good solid game by Portland - they are looking like the team to beat in the U.S. division.

Wow forgot to update this... I made out with $139 in the dash for cash...

On the whats new in Hawkeytown front...

The New York Islanders have released Nino back to Portland for the rest of the year...

Incase you don't follow the Winterhawks that means that the best team in the league (currently in 1st place with the best winning percentage .808) Just got better..

Well the regular season is over... The Winterhawks tallied 50 wins this season, and captured the US Division and Western Conference home ice advantage.. A feat not repeated since the 98 Memorial Cup team. Playoffs start on Saturday, tickets are on sale now... Give Chris Okerman a call down at the office 503-236 HAWK to get some great seats and watch our boys put a whooping on Everett....

Our play by play guy put together a video of all 50 game winning goals which can be found HERE
