Winchester model 190. 22. s,l,lr........need help

i just received a winchester 190 22.rifle from a buddy.

the receiver has a chip broken out of it about the size of my pinky nail....clearly not safe to shoot.

is there any way i can repair this or should i just buy a new receiver (if so where can i get one).

also i have read that this specific rifle is a huge pain in the A$$ to clean and work on. does anybody know if this is true or have one they have cleaned?

Hi Gunsrgood4u,
I looked it up said it has Alloy Receiver Not a good one try and repair. Receiver must have FFL to buy.
