i have a winchester model 1892 lever gun chambered in 44 WCF, a desirable cartridge for the gun that won the west. the serial number dates it as a 1902, and is complete and in solid shape. rifling is great shape, chamber looks great, and the overall finish of the rifle is pretty good. no pitting or major flaws at all. nice looking patina.The stock and foregrip are in decent shape as well, butt plate intact and in good shape. The buttstock has a depiction of a bear carved into it, and the lore is that a Nez Perce native man owned the rifle and was the artist behind the carving. An interesting story that i believe to be true, as I trust the source, but have no official documentation or supporting evidence. it definitely appears to period, and the man who owned it before me had it for 40 years or so and he said it looked to period when he got it as well.
Reduced for the last time, 1,100$ or trade for cool Remington 700s, Sakos, Model 70s, or quality rifle scopes.
