We have a camas outside of eugene as well, not really a town but an area.

Not sure where you are located.

I should be going north to pasco washington on memorial day weekend(friday actually).

Would like to look at the rifle, honestly am only about 50/50 on interest, as I"m ideally looking for a .338(4 bear)

So you're willing to do an illegal FTF cross state lines gun deal?

wow.gif

well hows he going to see it. does not mean we wont use a ffl for the sale. so dont just assume things you did not ask. you know the old saying about the word assume?

Federal law allows the sale of a long gun or a handgun between private parties of the same state as long as the purchaser is 18 years of age. An individual who does not possess a federal firearms license may not sell a modern firearm to a resident of another state without first transferring the firearm to a dealer in the purchaser's state. Firearms received by bequest or intestate succession are exempt from those sections of the law which forbid the transfer, sale, delivery or transportation of firearms into a state other than the transferor's state of residence. Likewise, antique firearms are exempt from these sections of the law in most states. (Antique firearms are defined as those manufactured pre-1899 by US federal law, or modern replicas thereof that do not use cartridges. State law definitions on antique firearms vary considerably from state to state.)

What I assume doesn't matter so much as what the ATF will assume when they read that. Do you think there is enough reasonable cause in your post for the ATF to get a warrant? That's what you must assume consider.

It is NWFA's policy to not allow any discussion of cross state line FTF deal's or anything that one would assume to be a cross state lines FTF deal. That is not an assumption! ;)
