***REVISED***trades wanted...I have a winchester 1894 30wcf octogon barrel, serial # 15XXX, the research I have done says it was built in 1895 or 1896..rare double set trigger, the worst part is the tang has small bronze looking braze spots in the metal peice that goes back into the butt stock. and what looks to be elk horn sights. leather sling (supposedly almost as old as the gun) that has double holes with brass hooks, buckles. oh I did shoot my first deer with it 24ish years ago.and the action still works flawlessly! I have been told $800 to $1800 so I am going to $800 or an AR-15 (right..LOL)

I have decided I want something for longer range target shooting.308,7mm,243, maybe even the right .223 with a nice scope for the right deal.
I found a rifle I like so I would take $800 cash so I can just go buy that.
I have other 30-30s so I just don't see taking this 1 out again. needs to go to someone that will appreciate it.

I bought the rifle I was looking for so trades are still OK but would prefer cash!!

I am not an expert on antique Winchesters, however I am not familiar with a magazine tube that stopped a few inches short of the muzzle on a 24" barreled Rifle. as well it is too bad that someone broke the tang off of the receiver and had it brazed it back together. From a collectors point of view I am certain that it takes a good portion of the value away. The close coupled set triggers are a great, and not a common feature. with I had that on one of mine. Just my opinion.

I dont know if this is it but there are pecentages that had full length magazines, some had 3/4 magazines and very few, some say only 1, had a 7/8 length magazine. dont realy know or care. just thought I would give someone the option to have this rifle to appreciate it. cause it will just go back into the back of the safe for who knows how long this time... last time was over 20 years!! even thought about consigning it at a shop but decided against it.
