Greetings!

I own all three barrel lengths of Ruger SP101s, as well as a Security and Speed Six, and a Wrangler... I was recently handling the 4" SP101 (which I have the least experience with of all of them) and noted that the transfer bar is real wiggly, enough to make an audible clatter if I shake the gun in my hand. None of the others do that and it made me wonder if something was wrong with it or it could be fixed. I took the gun apart and examined the transfer bar in the trigger assembly, put it all back together carefully, and nothing seems broken, misaligned, or otherwise obviously defective. In cocking, dry-firing, and/or lowering the hammer it seems like it works in its intended manner as a safety mechanism, the amount of rattle just irks me.

Any thoughts or insight into this? Anything I can do to make it rattle less?

Thanks,
Josh
