Something to consider if you were to keep a firearm in the bathroom ...
Steam from a hot shower or the like , could produce rust.
Rust not only on the outside of the firearm...but also on the internals.

Ammo and the temperature / Steam / humidity of the bathroom may be a concern here as well.

Also, bathroom carry may present further challenges for those adventurous members around here who prefer keister carry. They could possible chip the porcelain.
 
When I'm in the shower,
I'm afraid to wash my hair
Cause I might open my eyes and find someone standing there!
People say I'm crazy, just a little touch
But maybe showers remind me of Psycho too much…
