Why guns?

Read an article in a local rag telling of the epidemic of opioid deaths. The journalist claimed that such overdose deaths had exceeded both vehicular and firearms deaths. I looked into it a bit. These numbers are only for fatal incidents.

Per the latest data, there were:

More than 72,000 overdose deaths from opioids alone. Never mind all other drugs.
37,461 traffic deaths in 2016.
About 14,000 firearm homicides.

Suicides are counted separately, with suicide being legal in many states.

So, guns keep us free, while drugs enslave us.

Why the overzealous, obsessive/compulsive media focus on guns? where is the outrage regarding drug deaths? Is a gunshot victim deader than a heroin overdose?

Agenda. But, we all knew this.

Why guns?

- Maybe they held focus groups to find that it was easier for their useful idiots to spell "G U N" than "F E N T A N Y L"
or
- Maybe they found it was more profitable to ignore overdose deaths on behalf of the Drug Lobby.

- Maybe they wanted criminals to have "safety on the job"

Opioids enter from Mexico, courtesy of NAFTA. As we all know, the "misplaced documentation travelers" have become the modern holy family, martyrs even. And that threatened evil wall, combined with the repeal of NAFTA... hmmm...might that help just a bit?

Not to mention here that "gun deaths", "gun violence" and all other horrors have an awful lot to do with the opioids and "migrants" that are flooding in fast and furious, to coin a phrase.

But, does that get any press from the, um, press? Nah.

With guns.....it's usually about killing people at the other end of the barrel. Perhaps someone who you really care about.....an innocent.

But, as for drugs.....
It's mostly about killing yourself. As you choose what goes into your mouth, injected into your arm, etc.....

Then remember that......
A drug dealer (talking about the guy on the street corner) is just another name for an unlicensed pharmacist.
An illegal alien is an undocumented migrant.
While a semi-auto AR-15 is a weapon of mass destruction, weapon of war, killing machine, assault weapon, etc.....

Grab the headline news with whatever suits your agenda. Ratings matter.

Honestly I consider OD'ing to be a form of suicide...

IIRC, as it stands today.....
If someone was to use a firearm to commit suicide. I believe that the scientist/researcher (perhaps CFDC, AMA, etc....) would probably count that death as a "Victim of Gun Violence".

That is just another big reason why.......I don't want to use taxpayer money to fund research.

Not to mention......that some researchers classify "kids" as including anyone 18 - 25 years old. Rrrright.

And, they won't mention that the person was a gang member, involved in drug dealing, a turf war, robbing, other criminal activity, etc......

Agenda. But, we all knew this.

As we all know, leftists want the USA to be socialist and/or communist. They want the government to tell every one of us what to do, how to do it, when to do it, when to live, when to die, etc. They want socialized medicine and government control of everything. You will live in this type dwelling, commute by bicycle, eat this food and not that food, use this type of energy and not that type, and on and on.

In order to achieve this utopian dream people must be oppressed and unarmed or else they will revolt and fight back, so the leftist leaders convince the sheeple that guns are evil, must be controlled, and eventually confiscated. Most of the sheeple don't understand where their leaders are leading them (slavery) because the schools have been taken over and are being used to indoctrinate the kids at the same time that they hide the final destination by keeping the kids ignorant of the results of communism/socialism.

So the media and leftist leaders pound us constantly with the message: guns are evil, register them, register their owners, require licenses to own guns, prosecute those who use guns for self defense, prosecute those who have guns stolen and used in crimes BY OTHERS, etc. All in a grand plan to eventually confiscate them. They are making excellent progress toward achieving their goals.
