Yeah has anyone built a Lego gun back in the day? Well that's why people like Glock's, they just feel like your childhood. Also you ever notice that if you say Glock multiple times "Glock, Glock, Glock, Glock" it starts to sound like the on the knees portion of a gay porno. All jokes aside 8 out of 10 people are either joking or saying why they used to like Glocks. I'm just going to toss this out there... Does anyone really like Glocks or do they just like the idea of Glocks?

Sorry, I don't watch gay pornos. Lol

I will get me a Glock as soon as I finish recycling a few more these plastic bottles to make a mold for them.:D.

I'm not a hater, but I do not find them comfortable, I think the fact that everyone has to have one is why I don't want one either. Id say 90% of the firearms here are ones most wouldnt buy because they don't fit the cool firearms category to most people.

Glock love? No. Glock like, Glock respect? Yes. I don't think anyone can deny that Glock has earned a place of respect among firearms. They are, by all standards, reliable, and that is something everyone should expect from any gun. They are ugly, rather unimaginative, almost no character and for some, as is so often stated, they feel like a 2x4 in the hands.

I used to dislike the feel of the Glock, now it feels much more natural, it's grown on me. When I think of SHTF type guns, a Glock would have to be near the top of the list in terms of reliability, regardless of conditions and the much more likely availability of replacement parts should you need them.

And the fact that so many military forces and police forces rely on them? That's got to be worth something too.

So maybe no Glock love, but Glock respect, certainly.

Haters are going to hate them and the rest of us will remain respectful of them. I like my two. I can break one down and clear a jam blindfolded far faster than I can my others. My son and I have done this. I carried a 1911A1 in the service and the Glock has fewer parts to fit, and it breaks down and reassembles faster. They make great close combat weapons as far as I'm concerned. And not too bad in the accuracy department either. I put 8 of 10 in the black circle of a NRA 25 yard pistol target yesterday (25 yards away) while standing. I do have somewhat larger hands, I'll grant that argument. You carry what you trust and I'll do the same. If you want to pack garbage around, far be it from me to say anything.

Im not a fan but im not a hater either. All Glocks I have handled feel like holding a 2x4 but thats not my big thing against them. They put cheap sights on and they use barrels that do not fully support the ammo.

I am a reloader so when I get a firearm I want to be able to work up full power loads and still be able to reload the brass. If they would at least put on decent sights and install a lone wolf or storm lake barrel then maybe I would give them a chance.

Feels "right" in my hand. Light weight, points well. 13+1 beats 8 of a kind. Jury still out on whether they will last as long with as much ab-use as a couple 1911s Ive owned. Ive really gassed up some .45acp handloads with no discernable ill effect on the 1911, havent tried this with the Glock21 and won't until Ive resprung it. A 10mm Glock is on my acquisition list under "Someday".
You will not regret that day. I love my 40 MOS, bought a dozen mags and extensions so they hold as many as my 34 or 17L and is easy to shoot (for my hands).
