How do I see who is "following" me on this forum?

Not that I have a problem with people using that feature, but I think if the forum is going to have that feature then I want to know who is using it to follow me. I cant find it...

Click on your name as others have said, then on the lower left side.

good question. I dont know because I havent used that feature myself. I 'think' it alerts you when the person your following posts something here....?

What does following someone do?

Under the" Online Now box", you will see who is online at the moment , that you follow.
Its a good / quick way to keep in touch with online friends... At least for me.
Also it works as a "heads up" to find their posts.

The more people you have following you means you are more cool than those with less people following them.

I'm not cool at all.
