^^^^Answered. I had a MR but the accuracy wasn't what I wanted so I went back to my 77/22mag and never looked back.

Looking for 22 Mag Rifle .... in Pump or Auto in Stainless .... Who makes a new one besides Henry .... or would consider a nice used one ....
THANKS !!!!

Browning used to chamber their excellent BPR pump rifle in 22 magnum rimfire. However, it has been discontinued now for many years. They are so very rare to find, that their price is quite astronomical:

Rossi used to make their 22 pump in 22 magnum too. But just like the Browning, it is also long discontinued, and rare to find. Not as rare as the Browning, though:

Marlin used to make the 922M semiauto 22 magnum. It has also been discontinued for a few years, but you might find one used:

Remington still makes their Model 597 in 22 magnum. The standard base model is still being made. You could also find some heavy barrel versions used:

CZ is also still manufacturing their model 512 semiauto 22 magnum:

Why get a 22 mag, though? It is a dying cartridge. The 17 HMR is far more accurate and flatter shooting, so it is much easier to hit game with. Have you looked into the new Savage A17??

I have considered the Mitchell, I have a Henry Lever gun in 22 Mag and their Pump in 22 LR but no SS. There is a Rumor that Ruger might try a 10/22 in Magnum again.

Why 22 mag ? .... I have a lot of shells for it .... and being old school ... even though discontinued , I would like to find a Taurus MODEL 72 .22 MAG. PUMP ACTION RIFLE IN STAINLESS STEEL after looking at all the others out there ... THANKS , you guys are great ... .... Just looking for a plinker to shoot water rats around my pond .... used is fine with me ... anyone have one let me know .... :)

Personally, for .22 mag, I would go for a good bolt action known for accuracy.

I don't mind semi-auto for non-mag .22 rimfire, as the ammo is relatively cheap, but for the mag I would be using it for hunting more than plinking, and in that case I would go for the bolt action.
