White film on black leather holster

ONCE I boiled out my European head mount in the kitchen........I was much younger then.

Back in the days when I wore black army boots, the white stain was common anytime the boots got damp and the polish was thin. The white disappeared immediately under black shinola, until the next time. Same with any black leather clothing on my motorcycle, now.

Same here on the Army boots and leather riding gear.... that white staining are salts leaching from the leather.

That is the beginning of mold/mildew in black leather if left alone it will get real funky.
