Which scope rings?

I bought a Ruger American Ranch .556 and need to mount a Nikon 3-9x40 1". I need to order some rings and it looks like low will work?

I lay the rifle on it's side, then support the scope best I can above, simulating height. Then measure from top rail to center of scope bore.

I measure carefully and pick the lowest rings that will work to eliminate as much parallax as I can. Obviously I have to have enough clearance so I can use the scope.

Low will work. I can dig out a photo of mine using low rings if you'd like with a 40mm obj.

200M 1 inch Fixed Low Matte Rings -

Permanently attaches to base. Square recoil control key for positive engagement of ring to base. Rings securely mount around scope using 4 Torx style T-15 socket cap screws.

I use Warne rings.

I'll verify so you have specs and clearance numbers.





So according to Warne, ¼" rise to tube gives you this much clearance at the barrel.
