What caliber of the S&W 1854 should I get?

Looking at getting the S&W 1854. No purpose aside from growing my collection for now. I may want to take it hunting at some point. (Deer brush hunting). Which caliber is recommended? One consideration is which caliber is easier to find on shelves as well. Thanks!
 
Never heard of it until now, but seems quite neato. If it were me, wood stock, .44 Magnum.

I don't shoot my 44 revolver often enough to justify buying a carbine in the same, nor do I own a .45 Colt in any shape, so I wouldn't choose those chamberings... However I would get the blued version with the wood stock every single time unless I anticipated using it heavily and often in rainy, wet environments. The wood stock just looks great.
 
44 magnum, black with stainless! It's a classy yet utilitarian look. I also personally don't like the look of the checkering on wood stock 1854.
