I'm starting to like the idea of the simplest gun possible.
Maybe like a Rossi break action, or that Lil' Badger doo-hickey.
Another gun that's recently struck my fancy is the Keystone Crickett.
You can find these anywhere (at least out here) and they're a little less expensive than a Savage Rascal (similar gun).
On top of being inexpensive, the Crickett seems to be well made and accurate.
It also features peep sights (personal favourite of mine).
The hollow stock can house emergency supplies.
Very appealing, if it weren't for the 11" LoP, however there are ways around that, too.
