You didn't specify the bullets so I just quickly sought the two least expensive I could find in each cal you mentioned, not including shipping. At the least it will give you a benchmark for what you may find locally.

Tigard & Milwaukee.

Dunno if they still do, but may be worth a look.

Brands varied. Blazer, Sellier & Bellot, & Magtech. From what I recall. All brass case.

No idea on the .40 tho.
