To me, clockwise looks more correct.
It's turning in, winding in like a machine bolt would do.

I hear you but would do a scope upgrade or stock change maybe a trigger but most of my rifles need no changes ! I would not buy something now that needs improvement I have before but am beyond that now . I go with buy once cry once and be done ! What can you change about this ?

I'm not sure you understand this one.

Fluting is a visual thing, clearly that doesn't fall under the "need" category.

OP wants the bolt fluted because they look nice that way.
