Hopefully this will bring back memories to some, and make others wonder "is that thing real?"

Driving home the other day I saw this actually driving down the freeway - at freeway speeds! I saw it and thought to myself "HOLY MOLY !!! When is the last time you've seen one of these actually driving down the road and not parked in someone's driveway in pieces or wrecked?"

Reminds of the 4wd Tercel, last I saw was my dads. I think most of them were scrapped when cash for clunkers was going down.

I always thought the 1990's AWD Ford Escort/Tempo was a cool idea, till it wasn't!
The English/German Ford concern did do the Escort Cosworth RS, but sadly, you couldn't get them here!
I got to drive one in Europe, talk about a Hooligan ride, and I have wanted one ever since!

When they came out I remember thinking it sounded like a great idea. Liked the looks. I soon no longer even looked as several people who bought one they spent a lot of time back at the dealer getting stuff fixed. After the warranty ran out that crap got real old and they so often ended up sold. Seemed to be a nice idea poorly executed.

So a couple/three days ago wifey and I saw TWO of those one-wheeled electric whatever's cruising in traffic side-by-side doing close to 30mph. Those guys man, dressed like ninja's! All black with pads on knees/elbows and full face helmets with dark tinted eye shields. Looks like people/robots from the future. Or, future quadriplegic's?

Buddy of mine ( Excellent shape) bought one of those and broke his shoulder first time out, had to FLY him to the closest E.R. which was over an hour away by bush plane, then we had to draw straws to see who was gonna fly his plane home for him!

Ask your wives when was the last time they saw these clip-in swim bras..... nowadays most pads for swimsuits are either triangular or globular/rounded in the style of push-up bras..

Circa: Early '60s.
I was just a young boy, 6-7 maybe? I found my mothers, uhh, "Enhancements" I'll call them. She told me they were a swimming aid.
