American Arms Inc. PK22.
mimics 1911 style, reliable, cheap and accurate.
downside is it's hard to find and parts if needed are harder to find.
looks pretty much like a 1911, just smaller.

I've got a couple of them worth mentioning:

1. Ruger Bearcat, the first pistol that I bought, and shot; still have it and still take it to the range from time to time.

2. Walther PP British contract. If you've ever shot one in .380 and know how hard it can hammer your hand, you'll really appreciate the exceptional feel of this pistol in .22 lr.

Best shooter and best trigger is the S&W K-14. If you want to shoot a bottom feeder then their 22a is nice and less expemsive. The K-14 would be an heirloom as well as the most accurate production .22 rimfire I have seen.

Love my Buckmark and have for years. I enjoy it every time I take it out.

I had the opportunity to introduce yet another new shooter to the sport this week - my boss' 15 year old son. He was all smiles with the Browning.

I think that S&W 617 has jumped up to the top of my short list. That is just too cool, and I really enjoy my 586. I'll keep my eye out for one. Thanks.
