What's wrong with my Lee press?

I have an old Hornady press that's engineered the same way.
You have to clean the crud out of it occasionally. Otherwise the arm doesn't pivot and the primers hang up and fail to exit.

Found it and installed it! No idea the press came with a primer attachment. I have been using a Ram Line priming tool ever since my hand priming tool broke a couple of years ago.

Ran a few cases and the primers are now being diverted perfectly, and I can prime the case the same time I de-prime and re-size it. I feel like such an idiot for never realizing this before...

Little late to the thread and you have your answer but I looked at your original photo and knew why right away. This is why it is important to read ALL the directions before starting to reload............

Your primer arm is missing, which directs the primers to hole at base of press. Install the primer arm and that should fix your woes.
