Dude. Tomorrow is the last day of the season. Are you really gonna wolf down Wagyu and wash it down with cask aged beer? You'll be having tag soup for dessert. :s0058:
It's frozen chief. It's for my 40 next week. I'll cook up the normal sides plus a cheesecake and I'm thinking a lemon meringue pie. I think I need a nice champagne too.

Congrats.....I just changed careers at 40 also. Been in the new feild for 9 months now. Man what a tough decision it was to leave all I've known for 20 years. Best of luck to you!
What is it about 40? I didn't change careers, but I did something even more drastic. After bad-mouthing bowhunters since I could talk, at 40 years of age I became one. Haven't hunted elk with a rifle since (23 years).

I never did make it 20 years anywhere, seems like I'd get "down-sized" every 6 or so years.

Dam stick flinger!!!!
LOL. For me, it was life changing. I was filling plenty of deer tags with my rifle (didn't do much elk hunting back then) but was getting waaaay too fat and out of shape. It didn't take me long to figure out that wouldn't work chasing animals with a bow. Even now at 63 years of age, I can go places I wouldn't have dared to go when I was 39 and I weigh about 25 pounds less than I did then. I have scaled back some. No more mountain bikes with Burley trailers into Hells Canyon for me like when I was only 50.
