Now that the $1.9T CCP virus stimulus package passed congress and ready to sign by our POTUS tomorrow, what is next?
Our POTUS and our Democrats in congress hit most of their election promises;
  • Cure the CCP virus pandemic by distributing the vaccine better/faster. Check
  • Fix the immigration border problem. Check
  • Correct the transgender inequality/divide. Check
  • Save our plant from harmful humans in the USA. Check
  • Make friends/peace with un-friendly countries. Check
  • Give money to the needy and others hit hard by the CCP virus. Check
  • Finalized Election reform so that ALL can vote. Check
  • ???
Don't know if I missed anything else, but one thing is still missing that I can remember is their promise to do away with our AR-14!

Please stay on topic – when will the 2nd Amendment be addressed by congress? Did I miss another "Big-ticket" item that congress need to address before gun control?

Do you think congress will look to ban some of our guns/2A rights NEXT, LATER or NEVER?

Like I have said before. With the slim majority in the house and even smaller one in the Senate I don't see any meaningful laws getting passed. AWB? Not a chance. Mag ban? Nope. Background checks or red flags are about the only play the have at the national level. At the State level well thats a whole other story.

I hope you are right, but it wouldn't surprise me if they try other 2A controls

Oh, they will TRY. And then they will castigate their colleagues that didn't vote with them, and whine about how the GOP isn't "working with them for the American people" and blah blah blah........

Here's 2 gun control bills already in the works!

I predict that they will get upset when their gun efforts control fail. Since they won't be able to screw us that way, they will pass legislation demanding anal covid testing for everyone. They will screw us one way or another.

Yeah the state legislation is where i believe we are gonna take the hit. Especially Democratically ran states such as Washington. I mean look what all happend in the last years sense 594 now they are pushing SB-5038 and 5078. We got more of a boot to the cajones from our state then the Feds with 2A. Not to mention I-976 for $30 dollor car tabs voted in but said to be Unconstitutional and was shot down. But going after our 2A is not? Its such a joke :s0002:

We had an R-controlled US Senate and WH the past 4 years. Those days are history. I would not be complacent about the nutbags running Wash DC right now - they are gun HATERS. They want an AWB. Biden promised it and he promised to bankrupt gun manufacturers and millions of brain-dead sheeple voted for it. In Oregon, we are going to get it from the Feds and the State, probably same fate for Washington state also. :( Keep fighting.

At some point, perhaps sooner than later; preferably much later but....
One may have to decide for themselves whether to keep being "law abiding" when laws and lawyers, especially lawyers in black robes decree that being a gun owner is the same as being an outlaw... at some point, a large enough number of people will have privately made the decision themselves, and that point may well be long after the government have made that decision for them :(

^. This. With the razor thin majorities in both, I don't see major gun control happening at the Federal level. I am much more concerned about what the slime in Salem and Olympia will pull.

That said, I wouldn't be shocked if there was some token anti-gun action ramrodded through via Executive Order or the rule-making process. It won't accomplish much, because there is only so much that can be done with either, but Biden can say to his base "See ... see we did something".

Sad state of affairs.

Path to socialism requires the middle class to buy in. Use the base human emotion of envy to move forward. Lower income non workers are conditioned to feed at dot gov trough and will vote for more more more. Lower income middle class not on the dole are starting to like the free muny whether they admit it or not. Those slightly above the cutoff think it unfair because they are doing the right thing by working hard, but are grumbling about not getting their fair share. The rest should be obvious.

Well. The Rs caved and allowed the Hearing Protection Act and National Reciprocity to die. Not to mention the whole bump stock EO thing... Who's to say that this year and the next, they would be unified against the D majorities in Congress? :( even now, theres some reported beef between Mr Trump and the RNC over the RNC using Trump's likeness for fundraising and marketing...

While I don't think some or most R's are actually pro 2nd I got a feeling a unified front is forming as it seemed to work well the last decade or so for both the R's and D's. I also think with the slim majority the dems have in the house makes for a incredibly tough vote for the few in contested seats.

From the Epoch time news:
H.R. 8 just passed the house, titled the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021, passed 227-203, receiving eight Republican votes and one Democrat vote against. Five Republicans co-sponsored the bill along with several Democrats.

The House recently passed another control measure, H.R. 1446, which allows for the FBI to indefinitely delay background checks. Currently, there is a three-day default transfer window. That measure was introduced by Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.).

It comes as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Thursday said they would reintroduce other gun control measures. President Joe Biden's administration also expressed support for such measures in recent days.

I think they are looking to alter our 2A laws NOW, with a good chance of do so! Hope I'm wrong!

Joining things matters. Your name on a list of people who support 2A and spend money to show that support makes an impact on reps. These guys are "data driven," their staff makes sure they know numbers.

I'll go so far to say that it matters as much or more than individual letters. If 30 million new individuals joined and sent $ in the next month to the 2AF, or JPFO, or NRA, any of them, it would get noticed. And it would change behavior of our reps.

10 minutes ago:

The guy that picks up our waste that must be shredded apologized for missing our pickup last week. Said they are short both trucks and staff.

He told us straight up that the hours are available and he has 'friends' that are more willing to stay home and take a check rather than to come to work.
