The M-48 and K-98 are both "Mausers" and literally millions of other guns pistols, carbines and rifles.
Mauser has become a "generic" name for bolt action rifles built on the Mauser design which goes back to the 1800s.
There are many, many Mausers. True Mausers were built under license in many countries probably the most famous being the K-98 which was the standard german rifle for both WW1 and WW2.
The rifles are characterized by a large external extractor, twin locking lugs on the bolt, with a third safety lug.
One can write a book (and many have been written) on the various Mausers.
And then there are the Mauser pistols, the most recognizable being the broomhandle.
Or did I misunderstand your question??:)
