My first shot was fired from my Dad's 1917 Enfield. I got to take some practice shots because I was going to use his rifle to hunt with because he had been hurt in a logging accident and couldn't really do much that season. That year I was 12 and I jumped the biggest buck I have ever seen out of the brush in this little draw my brother and I were pushing through. I completely unloaded that Enfield one round at a time working the bolt and I never pulled the trigger. Can we say "Buck Fever". That old Enfield is in my safe right now and it's my most prized firearm.
