Funny thing is people go fast all the time. I have been 150 in both a car and a bike and will say this nothing compares to water. To me doing 100 on the water brings on the pucker factor.

I'd like to say bad things but I'd be a hypocrite for doing so. In my teens, early 20s I was a maniac behind the wheel. I only knew one person back then that was worse.

How I never killed anyone is just pure luck. Once I missed hitting a homeless person doing about 80 mph up West Burnside(!) by just inches.

My friends and I used to have a contest driving from Portland to Seattle. Full on race - trailer trash style - in just garbage cars. Mine was a ex-police car, a 70s Impala not registered in my name so if things go bad, you just bail and leave the car.

Anyone that went below 80 mph was disqualified so if you had to use a sidewalk, emergency lane, etc, so be it. Many times we'd sideswipe cars and just keep going (of course). It was their fault, they were in the way.

Used to scare my fellow students in High School by taking my dad's '71 Blazer sideways around the corner with all tires breaking loose and smoking, hitting the crosswalk at about 70mph and going airborne. My inspiration was watching Starsky do that stunt LOL.

I even was so wreckless that I drove that Blazer with no brakes. (Couldn't afford to fix them at the time)

The brakes were worn down completely to the rotors. So I down shifted and used the emergency brake.

Once a guy hit the brakes real fast in front of me on St Helens Rd and I couldn't stop. I rear ended him and caused a 6 or 7 car pile up, 3 of the cars were beautiful classics. Police everywhere, very angry people.

I said I didn't know that happened, that my brakes just failed. A cop went over and tried my brakes. They went right to the floor, as normal, so I got off completely as an unpreventable mechanical failure. My insurance didn't cover the other people's cars and most of them were uninsured. One guy with a classic Mustang definitely was out to kill me.

Geezus, looking back - what a frickin' idiot. It does show clearly how much freedom you would have back then to be a reckless imbecile however.

When I'd get pulled over I'd be polite and nice and the cop would usually just say slow down kid and let me go. If I had a beer in my lap he'd make me pour it out.

Today I'd be in Gitmo.

If teens/20s today only could understand what a controlled cage they live in now vs just 30 or so years ago. Poor kids, they can't do ANYTHING except Tweet, text, and play their Xboxes.

Rebelling to them is using a PS4 instead of an Xbox One. In other words, completely forget about any 'revolution' to win back 'freedoms' - not happening. The youth populace has been successfully zombified. This is the type of populace that the Oligarchs have had wet dreams about for decades.

True, agreed, can't argue with most of it, it was careless and stupid but I was 17.

The transition to tyranny has nothing to do with stopping irresponsible punks running around causing havoc, nor were we the cause of it.

I wasn't trying to say that kids today should be able to do things I did. But they can't even cruise their cars, hang out on a corner somewhere, crack a beer while listening to music at the park. Everything fun is now verbotten except staying in your home, acting exactly like everyone else in the hive, and NEVER are you speak out against atrocities, lies, or deceptions or you will be trampled upon.

The real present for the younger generation of course will be our economic collapse and trillions in debt resulting in a reduction of your standard of living to third world status and the end of the US as it is now. The debt bubble will burst, along with the Petro dollar - you will be put on the same level playing field as the $2/day slave across the globe. We, who were too young to go fight the Vietnam banker war, but too old to fight in the Middle East Petro dollar wars, but still enjoyed the prime years of the debt bubble were truly the lucky ones. For that I am truly grateful and content.

Your future, unfortunately, will be horrific. The dollar collapse is a mathematically certainty.

Freedom is scary. And its better to have freedom than to allow anyone to rule out of fear. Because ruling out of fear is insanity. Ruling out of what could have happened, you know 'if' things happened differently than 'reality', yes that's insanity. Because it didn't happen & therefore couldn't happen. Only what happened, could have happened. This is really hard to grasp for people that like to control everything and can't accept reality for what it is lol. They make dumb laws that punish people for what 'could have happened' 'if' something other than reality had happened even though it didn't happen. There are countless numbers of these laws already out there. And the people that belong in the insane asylum are pressing for more of these laws every day. Especially when it comes to guns. Fast is fun! now cutting through traffic like that is a bit nuts (at least now that I have responsibilities). I will say that the time I got a last minute call from a friend who needed one more person to get the group discount for sky diving was a blast - jumped on the bike and was doing about 170 most of the way there. In the pre jump briefing they announced "you will be falling at approximately 120 miles per hour" I started laughing. They asked what was so funny I told them I was going way faster than 120 getting there. Lucky me they figured they would try to scare me - all the better of a jump - the only part of the jump that was even close to the adrenaline rush getting there was the second or two in the door before free fall.
