Sounds odd but have you looked at the PX4 Storm , I picked one up on trade - I dont like the way they look but OMG it shoots great and super smooth.

I do think the rotating barrel is quite clever and well engineered. I don't like the way they look either. I'd love to shoot one though

If you shot one you would want one. Hard to get past the looks but way easier after shooting it, kinda grows on ya.

I would go with the G27 because you have better capacity options..... and options are good. You can go 13, 15, or even 22 rounds and it's all factory mags.
