What OLD firearm would you like to see in a Modern Caliber?

I wonder just how many Mosin Nagants were made as sporters in Soviet Russia / Warsaw Pact countries...?
One could own firearms in those places at that time...just very limited.

I have had a reoccurring wacky idea of a modernized, more conventional/safe mechanical system, Mauser C96 in 5.7mm or .357 Sig, with a 20-round capacity. Since I am dreaming, an SBR version with the detachable stock/holster. (The likelihood of something like that being made is probably on par with me winning the lottery that I never play.)

Yep that is the one...and yeah its a beauty.
He has some neat guns and other items , both antique and modern there for sale and not all of the prices are as OMG as that one....

These ain't really old..but I'd like to see the Ruger .357 bolt action carbine return with a wood stock ...and have the calibers .44 magnum , 45 colt and .45 acp added to the line up...
